Jessica Alba Cares About You – And Your Little One

A week or two before the birth of our son, Hubs told me about a morning talk show interview he had just seen with Jessica Alba featuring her new venture: The Honest Company. Always on the lookout for stylishly sustainable products, I checked out the website. Not only does The Honest Company offer premium plant-based wipes and disposable diapers in a variety of fashionable prints delivered right to your door at the same time each month, it also provides non-toxic, earth-friendly options for household items such as shampoo, sunscreen, laundry detergent and dish soap. The company is so committed to its products, it offers a substantial sample bundle for free (8 diapers, 10 wipes and travel sized shampoo, lotion, healing balm, hand soap and laundry detergent) so you can try before you buy.

Initially, I was attracted to the awesome diapers. In addition to classic white diapers, for little boys, The Honest Company offers pirate pants with skull and cross bones, blue sailor shorts with anchors and polka dots, and preppy plaid pampers in blue and green. For the little princess in your life, you may choose a combination of pretty in pink stars, a lovely contemporary floral print or a sweet treats design with fun lollies and pink pirouette ice cream cones. But do they work, you ask? Absolutely! Super absorbent AND stylish? That’s a winning combination!

I had been using an organic, gentle shampoo and body wash for my little one, but I noticed his delicate newborn skin was breaking out and his scalp was very dry. This was quite concerning to a first-time mom, to be sure. After using THC’s shampoo and body wash option, his sensitive skin cleared up after only two uses. We love the lotion, which is wonderfully absorbent, very lightly scented and leaves my skin feeling – dare I say – as soft as a baby’s. Icing on the cake? With every product purchased, The Honest Company donates product, money, time, and effort to addressing critical health & social issues affecting children and families.

Check ’em out for yourself at You can thank me later…
