Bigelow Tea’s Cindi Bigelow on Lessons in Tenacity

Cindi Bigelow is the president of Bigelow Tea. Bigelow Tea ( is a family owned company, whose goal is to produce the best cup of tea possible. One tactic used it to overwrap and seal the tea bag in a fresh foil packet, so that the flavor stays until one is ready to drink a cup of tea.

In this video Cindi talks to NEXT for Women about not taking no for an answer. She recounts a story about her grandmother and the Great Depression. When the Great Depression hit the U.S. her grandmother had to figure a way to provide for her family. Instead of taking no for an answer, she created tea, marketed it, and sold it out of the back of her car, creating a company that now sell 1.6 billion bags per year.
