Hugh Evans is the CEO of the Global Poverty Project. The Global Poverty Project (http://www.globalpovertyproject.com) is a non-profit with the goal to end extreme poverty within a generation.
In this video Hugh talks to NEXT for Women about the power of a mentor. His greatest mentor has been his family who have been with him along the way since the beginning. Other mentors include a Zulu man from Africa who ran the World Visionary Development Project and his friends Anthony and Suzanne who run the largest and most successful peer education organization in South Africa. His final mentor is William Wilberforce, who spent all of his life trying to convince Britain to abolish slavery. Hugh states that all his mentors have taught him that we as a people have the capacity to create change in major issues of our generation.
